Social justice and democracy - these are the issues Ibrahim Izzeldeen has dedicated his life to. Our new movement worker supports refugees in Germany in fighting for their rights and campaigns with the civil society movement against the military dictatorship in his country of origin, Sudan.
For the success of social movements, people who commit themselves full-time are of great importance. They build skills that are invaluable for political work. But people who are active full-time and unpaid in movements cannot have a normal job at the same time.
That's why we came up with the Movement Workers Programme. The activists do not receive their money from the foundation, but from a circle of supporters. Bewegungsstiftung forwards the money and helps with public relations.
