What ist the purpose of the Bewegungsstiftung? Where does the money come from? What kind of people are involved in the foundation? These questions are answered in this film.

Social movements change society. Bewegungsstiftung supports their work for democracy, peace, ecology and social justice with grants and consulting. Founded in March 2002 as a Germany-wide community foundation, it has received some EUR 3.9 million in endowments from über 100 donors. Donations to the endowment are welcome, and are possible from as little as EUR 5,000.

The »Bridge foundation – for civil rights in the digital society« was founded in May 2003 under the umbrella of Bewegungsstiftung. Bridge supports social movements in the digital age: it provides help for campaigns to defend civil rights such as freedom of speech, data protection and fair access to information.
